TEMPESQUE
Identity & Web Design
Tempesque is an independent web and graphic design studio founded by Maura Lo Moro in 2025.
What began as an online poster shop gradually evolved into a broader design practice spanning visual identities, websites and digital experiences.
Through years of experimentation, the project expanded beyond artwork and into systems, interfaces and brands.
Today, Tempesque works across Italy and Spain with people who have a vision and need help bringing it into the world.
We work with venues, festivals, artists, music labels, and cultural brands that have something to say and want to say it precisely — recognisably, without aesthetic compromise.
Every project begins with observation — of the client's voice, their audience, the system they operate in. The visual language comes after. It emerges from what we find.
The result is a complete visual system — a language the client can inhabit, extend, and evolve. But the process is also a form of research. Each project changes what we know. Each one takes us somewhere new.

TEMP—
ESQUE
From the French "tempête" — storm. The suffix "-esque" forms an adjective that evokes a quality without fully defining it. Something like a storm. Something with that same energy.
Time is hidden in the name — not as a clock, but as pressure. Like the moment before something. Like the field that precedes form.
tempest + -esque = storm-like quality / tempo + -esque = time-like quality / tEMPESTa + -esque = the quality of the moment

THE CREATURE THAT WATCHES
The Observer is the studio's internal mark. Not a decorative logo — a symbol of method. Every project begins with observation: silent, curious, without pre-formed judgement.
Like the lanternfish in the deep — it carries its own light, does not wait for the environment to provide it. It observes before it acts. It illuminates before it defines.
